Imagine one of those damp gloomy days that precede Yule. People living in the Southern Hemisphere might enjoy air conditioned rooms, while those in the Northern regions could bask before fires in hearths. Family and friends gather together, making special gifts and anticipate their surprise. Enjoy using the imagination to create these presents while savoring hot or iced tea.
Yule is a Druis celebraten on the shorest day of the year, this year, falling on December 21st. it's a Fire Festival and a Solar Sabbat. Wiccans celebrate it as the rebirth of the God.
Items Needed to Make Faux Leather Containers
There are a few items required to create a faux leather container:
- Cleaned empty bottles or jars, 3x5 file card boxes, empty coffee cans, small boxes or other desired containers
- Masking tape, ½ inch wide
- Tacky glue
- Shoe polish, preferably paste; brown, oxford or black colors are suggested for authenticity
Creating Faux Leather Containers
Tear masking tape into jagged one inch-long pieces and firmly press on containers in random patterns, making sure the surface is completely covered.
When this is finished, rub paste shoe polish into the tape with a paper towel. Liquid polish can be used by applying it and rubbing the surface with paper towels. Pasting pictures or artwork onto the creations is optional.

It’s fun to use one’s imagination to create containers and/or decorations for the Pagan Yule celebration. Interiors of containers can be lined with silk or velvet. Fill with:
