For me, it would have to be "The Spiral Dance", by Starhawk. Her writing is very uplifting, enlightening and informative.
Let us know which books you like, and why you enjoy reading them!

Hi Elizabeth!
When I first started out I began with the various books of Scott Cunningham. There was a really good book by Ellen Dugan called Cottage Witchery.
I also like good old Ray Buckland. He's actually a participant at Pagannation.com, which is based here in Ohio. AJ Drew, the man that upkeeps the site is also a good author. His book Wicca for Couples was really good.

- recommended books
There are so many books to recommend! It's easier to go by authors and, here they are, but in random order. It seems that whenever I read a book, it is my favorite! Scott Cunningham, Buckland, D. J. Conway, Ann Moura (Amoumiel), Silver RavenWolf, Ted Andrews and John King. I have White Eagle's Spiritual Unfoldment, Volumes 1 - 4. He is a Native American Shamanic Christian Spirit who spoke through Grace Cook. His church is based in the UK and the US branch is in Texas. It's called the White Eagle Lodge.
I hope I aven't forgotten anyone! I have a lot of books and finally had all but the cookbooks catalogued, but my computer had problems and I lost all of the lists!
Hope you find these helpful and enjoying.
Regards,
Jill
